A new joyful core memory has just been made for all cinema fans alike. Despite Pixar’s recent losses at the box office, Inside Out 2 may have just became this entire franchise’s saving grace, or at least one last hurrah.

The Box Office Victory:
Inside Out 2 has officially raked in more than 1.4 billion dollars, now crowning itself on the top of the pyramid, alas dethroning Frozen 2 and Lion King (CGI) (Both movies which don’t even compare to Inside Out 2’s quality in my opinion), and now sits above all animated films in cinema history!
Pixar has shown their gratitude to fans around the world for making this the biggest animation win, which has been met back with positive comments, encouraging Pixar to continue making creative, meaningful, artistic, and well-crafted projects that have the opportunity to connect with viewers and let them digest something unique.
I have shown my upmost support for Inside Out 2 on my previous Inside Out 2 article, alongside my TikTok announcing it just broke an all-time record. I have also asked viewers whether they believe the film deserves to be the top of the mountain. Although many have agreed, disagreed, or simply shrugged, there’s no denying the beautiful work of this film which had me just engaged watching the second time as it did the first. Truly the sign of a beautifully crafted story.
Inside Out 2 is my favorite animated film of the year, and very well might be one of my favorite films of all time. Just thinking about it puts a smile on my face both as a writer, actor, artist, and critic. I could see myself watching this film over and over as the years come. Pixar created raw cinema once again.
Interestingly, Japan will be hopping on the bandwagon a few weeks late, as Inside Out 2 is set to release August 1st in Japan, where there has been plenty of advertising for the film on the Japanese Disney and Pixar social media pages, meaning a large spike in box office grabs is still yet to come!
